What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in at Rancho el Sobrino is from 14:00, and check-out is until 12:00. Our Front office is normally open until 5pm. If you arrive after hours, it is not a problem, just let us know in advance so we can arrange an alternative check in or stay open longer. Does Rancho El Sobrino have a restaurant on site?
Rancho el Sobrino has one restaurant directly in the resort, its name is Cactus Café. But if you walk five minutes you will reach two Ocean Front Restaurants as well.
How close to the beach is Rancho El Sobrino?
The nearest beach is Playa Forti and about a 5 -7 minutes walk. It is a public beach. Furthermore can you walk to 3 more beaches from the Resort: Playa Kenepa Grandi, Playa Kalki, Playa Piskado.
Is there a public bus system?
The bus stop in Westpunt, by the church is a 10 minutes walk from the Resort. This bus reaches Westpunt every two hours from the town Center Otrabanda and then turns around to go back to town. The rid is about 1 hour and costs 2 USD. Please carry a small change in Guilders or Dollars to ride the bus. You can easily bring your luggage on the bus.
What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel?
The best way is to rent a car at the airport! We do provide car rental and place it at the airport for you. So you can reach, walk out and take your car. You will need the car for shopping and to explore more beaches like Jeremi, Sta Cruz, and Kleine Knip.
Is there a supermarket nearby
In April 2026 a small minimarket opened back in Westpunt, close to Playa Kalki. The next good supermarket is half the way to Willemstad in Tera Kora, called New California. We recommend everybody coming from Willemstad or the airport to make a stop there and shop.
Do all your rooms have a kitchen?
Yes, all the rooms have a kitchen with a coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. The Standard Studio has it in the room, the Deluxe Studio on the balcony and the one or two bedrooms have the kitchen in a separate room inside.
Can we change money in Westpunt or the hotel?
Not really, to change money in Curacao you need to go to a bank. There are no currency change shops. It is better if you take out the money from the ATMs, you can choose either US Dollar or Guilders.
Is there an ATM in Westpunt?
Not anymore. The next ATM is in Barber, about 10 minutes drive from here.
Is there the possibility to order breakfast in the hotel or nearby?
No, neither the hotel nor anybody close by offers breakfast service at this moment. Many apartments in Westpunt have rooms with kitchen where the guests prepare their own breakfast.
Is there a Scooter or bike rental in the area?
No, at this moment it is not possible to rent either bikes or scooters in Westpunt.
Is there a dive shop on premises?
Yes there is, the PADI dive Center is called Sublime Diving.
